Andrew is now a Cub Scout!

I can not believe that Andrew is now in the Scouts! He is so excited to earn his first badge. He will be a great Cub Scout and I am very proud of him!

Tammy's Baby Shower

In these pics Tammy is 36 wks. She looks great for 36 wks! She is not even puffy and it is the summer for goodness sakes! We are all excited for this little guy to come. She is due on the 16th of Sept. Not too far now. It was so great to see everyone at the shower. Thanks for coming and supporting Tammy with this exciting moment of her life!

Preschool Time

Aubrey got to meet her Teacher Mrs Cindy. She is very excited to start her first year of Preschool. Mom is going to miss her, but also enjoy the small amount of Peace and Quiet!

Andrew's 8th Birthday!

We celebrated Andrew's 8th Birthday a home with family on his birthday, and then again with 2 of his friends at Chuck-e-Cheese. He loved and and so did I. (I didn't have to do anything)

3-D Fun

We went to see G-Force in 3-D!
My children loved it. We had the whole theater to ourselves!

Summer Time Fun!

We were enjoying a nice Hot Summer Day with a nice Cold Slushy....when Andrew got stung by a Bee twice. Once on his arm and again on his right hand. I took this pic right after it happened. It hadn't started swelling yet. By the time we went inside his hand was like a balloon. Thank goodness for Benadryl. He was very Brave.

All in A Day's Pick!

We gathered all of this today from our garden. I guess we better have salad tonight! Our red onions are a little small but that's OK. We are excited for the beets. I will have to figure out how to cook them.

Wow! This is a BIG one!

Aubrey is enjoying the summer. Everyday she goes out and picks flowers for both of us. She is always excited if she can find a dandilion puff ball, or what ever it is called. She loves to blow them all over the yard. This one is a Big one! She was up to the task!

Working Together!

This one of our family assembly lines. In this one we are putting together Al's new DVD packets and getting them ready to ship out and for sale. It started with putting the DVD's in the box. Nana then placed them in another box and then sealed them up with clear seals. Then Dad, with his big new machine, put plastic around it and then Brooklyn used the hot air gun the shrink it to the box. Andrew helped everyone. But was especially good at looking for holes in the plastic, which would drive Brooklyn crazy because the would have to redo them. He had tons of fun! Kenzie wanted to be part of the action and so with gloves on....she slept. Aubrey was also there, but on the couch. No gloves needed for her.

Fun in the Garden!

Time to pick the Raspberries! Yum!

How does our garden grow?
With lots and lots of love!!

I can't quite seem to reach it. Need a little help here!
Wow Mom! I can't believe we can actually grow carrots! This one looks a little funky! Is it suppose to look like this?
I am not too sure about this. Carrots and food coming from the ground. I thought they can from the store?!
Yum! My favorite kind of lettuce. (Iceberg) Now if I can only get it out of the ground. It is really attached.

After surgery

Kenzie had a furry friend come and see how she was doing on the floor in the hospital. She didn't know quite what to think. While she was in ICU a different dog came to visit her. She probably thought she was dreaming. This dog was a mix of puddle and lab. It looked just like a HUGE PUDDLE!
This is what her back looks like after surgery. She is slightly bent over here. Her steri strips are still in place. She is healing well and as you can see from the before pics her back is a lot better.

This is Mackenzie standing straight up.

Kenzie's Spinal Fussion

The night before the big day I took this picture. You can see how much her spine curves. (This is standing straight up)

Her surgery was scheduled for 10am. We were told to arrive at Primary Children's Hospital at 8:30am. We went to the POP class the night before and Mackenzie was thrilled to be there. She has colored her doll and with a huge smile she raced the anesthetist down the hall and to the operating room. They called every hour and a half to give us an update on how she was doing. At 3pm they finished and she went to ICU. We had some problems with her blood pressure and also her epidural medication (leaking on the bed and not in her), but once those problems were addressed....all was well.

She was a little swollen after the surgery, but this was nothing compared to how swollen she was after the tried to get her blood pressure up with 5 boluses of fluid and then two bags of blood!
The doll recieved her PIC line just after Kenzie got hers. When one flushed the line...you got a little wet! Something to laugh at in a stressfull day!
